St Louis MO

Feature film:

Home of Scott Joplin, connoisseur of rhythm and blues, barbecue and American History; it was quite an honour to visit this beautiful yet quiet city.

Here are a few pictures...

Parked a short walk from downtown

Much of the outskirts look like this. It seems the city was built for more people than that there are actually here

Barbecue pulled pork, coleslaw and beans

A live band playing

The car got so much attention here right outside the blues bars

Then for a little picture taking tour of downtown

Being as quiet as it was here, he was very easy to stop anywhere and take a picture

Looks strangely wrong, and yet strangely right

The famous arch

Downtown in the background with the car facing the Mississippi River

The most unlikely car with two of the most famous landmarks of St Louis behind it

Urban shots under a flyover

That's it! Thank you St Louis for a great backdrop, good food, music and vibe :)

Chicago has been great. What a buzzing city! Have to say the downtown roads and the car did not get along particularly well, but drive around the potholes and it ain't so bad :)

Downtown Chicago

Look what I found!

The Puma and the most famous Blues-mobile!

Tight parking spot...

Down to the lakefront to take some pictures...

Next stop: St Louis

Stay tuned!

Detroit to Chicago

Just a short post - thought you might like to watch a short episode I made; Top Gear style :)

Hope you enjoy it.

Henry Ford Museum, Detroit MI

Through border control and now running late, I headed straight to the museum and Benson Research Center to meet with Transport Curator, Matt Anderson.

Matt was kind enough to take the time out of his day to meet with me on front of the automotively historic landmark and talk about the car and its journey thus far.

He took the car for a spin and at the end of our short but entertaining meeting, he wished me the best of luck on the journey to San Fransisco.

Matt enjoying the unusual drive around his work campus

"I'd buy one!"

While stopped at the Henry Ford, I took the opportunity to nod where the Ford Motor Company began and take some pictures of a car born out of a location it was never destined to visit.

Following the visit to the museum, it was time to make tracks to Chicago... But not without first having a go at filming a Top Gear style challenge article :)

Watch this space for that....
