A really useful engine

Hi all.

Long time! My summer working at Camp Equinunk and Blue Ridge has been a blast and the car has been so useful.

Being able to get out of camp and hit the open roads around here has been awesome but being able to go to places the buses here couldn't take us; has been priceless.

I took some friends to Philly and totally forgot to get a picture of the car - but one thing I'll remember is that the valet didn't want to park the car in case he judged it wrong and bashed it!

Love this shot.

So, after taking this picture, the land owner flies over on an ATV a and asks me if I had seen the "No Trespassing" sign.... I quickly left!

I have also put the car to work. As the music lead here, I have to cart a drum kit around camp for various events, also guitars and amplifiers. To those who are not musicians, these are sensitive instruments and given the size of camp, they cannot always be walked.

We have golf carts here but they have about as much travel in the suspension as a supermarket trolley! Needless to say, the kit has all stayed in great shape after a summer of abuse mainly because I have been able to use the car (yes, a full drum kit goes inside a Puma...)

Better-packed, The boot does close!

Camp here is beautiful too, so I have taken a pic or two along the way and while out of an evening, the car got the usual attention... Though not from the few patrol cars here, which is good!

I still didn't learn to swim this summer! One day...

I'm now in post camp and using the car like a golf cart (it's small enough to go down the cart trails too!) to get around as we prepare for a few corporate events.

On another note, I have purchased and had fitted four brand new Yokohama S-drives and about $100 a corner (ouch!) and installed the Mintex brake pads, which made a world of difference (until I pushed them too far...)

I have also destroyed the strut brace with the roads around here and ruined some paintwork with petrol... Just as well I brought some Panther Black paint from Blighty!

Nevertheless, I have had a great summer and have some pretty brave travel plans.... I'll leave you with this...
